Shoot Notes Help
What Are Shoot Notes?
Shoot Notes are private notes you can enter into a participant's shoot. Perfect for keeping track of job inquiry follow-ups, retouching notes, VIP identification and more!
You can later surface all your shoot notes for a job via The Shoot Notes Report.
Shoot Notes also mark your participant with a blue accent in the Shooting Dashboard alerting you to any special attention needed for these participants.
How Do You Add/Edit Shoot Notes?
To add/edit shoot notes:
- Navigate to the job that contains the participant you want to receive shoot notes.
- Click on the participant’s name in the “Shoots” panel.
- Click the gold “ Edit Shoot” button.
- Enter your information into the Notes field.
- Save your changes by clicking “Edit Shoot” at the bottom of the screen.
Please Note: The shooting dashboard may need to be refreshed to see the change take effect.
When Do You Use Shoot Notes?
Shoot Notes have many uses but the three most common are below:Follow Ups -
Have you ever had a participant love your work and want you to reach out to them about more jobs? Forget taking down their info on a napkin! Simply add a shoot note and keep everything organized! Later when you have time, run your Shoot Notes Report and locate this participant for a follow-up.
Retouching Notes -
Say a participant really doesn't like the logo on their shirt and wants you to remove it later when you retouch their images. No problem! Add a shoot note and later when you're doing your retouching run the Shoot Notes Report so you remember you have special work to do for them!
VIPs -
If you are importing or scheduling participants before the job and know that one of them is a CEO or VIP, mark them as such with a shoot note! This will give them a blue accent in the Shooting Dashboard so when they arrive you know to really wow them!
Common Issues / Questions
Can participants enter shoot notes on their own?
No. Only you can enter shoot notes.Can participants see shoot notes?
No. Shoot notes are private to you. However, please note Shoot Notes are output in the CSV Export. You may want to clear this column before sending to your company contact.How do I add/edit shoot notes?
