Missing Thumbnail Help

Images Missing Thumbnails Help

Did you upload an image for a participant but you see the file listed with a missing thumbnail icon in their shoot detail page? No problem! This can only mean one of a few simple things.

Option 1 – Your Image Is Still Being Loaded
Headshot Tools needs to ingest your uploaded images before it can display them. This typically happens in milliseconds, so you don't have to wait long. However, if you view the shoot detail page at just the right moment, you may see a icon before the image has been fully ingested.

Solution: Refresh the shoot detail page or gallery and see if the image is now showing. If it’s not, move on to the next option.

Option 2 – You Uploaded An Image Greater Than 100 Megapixels
Headshot Tools supports images up to 100 Megabytes and 100 Megapixels. If you upload an image larger than supported, the system will skip processing it. This is commonly caused by setting your export settings incorrectly to 2048 inches, instead of the correct 2048 pixels.

Solution: Double check your tethering software's configured export settings and make sure the resolution of your exported images is below 100 Megabytes and 100 Megapixels. Otherwise, move on to the next option.

Option 3 – Make Sure Your Internet Connection Is Stable
Your web browser needs to load your images over the internet. If your connection is intermittent or down, your browser won’t be able to display your images.

Solution: Try finding a stronger internet connection or Wi-Fi signal and refresh the page. Still having issues? See below.
